I was born in Paramaribo in Suriname in South America. I lived there my first five years and then I grew up in The Netherlands. My first book “Het Huis in de Zon” (The House in the Sun) was published by I.V.K.O. Grafische Genootschap (I.G.G.) in 1977 when I was eighteen years of age.
When I was twelve I became vegetarian and I stopped eating white sugar because in those days’ cavities were filled without Novacaine. Losing my dad to cancer at age fourteen, solidified my path of natural, holistic wellness and I studied and used natural modalities including Macrobiotics. I made a pact with myself that I would learn how to take great care of myself so that when I had a family of my own they would be healthy as well.
Thus I went to the Kushi Institute after finishing high school in Amsterdam. In 1980 I left for America to visit family and to further my studies as a Macrobiotic Health Counselor including getting a certificate cooking for cancer- and heart disease patients. After meeting my husband, we started our family. Besides giving Macrobiotic health consultations and cooking for clients, I taught Macrobiotic cooking and dance-aerobic classes. I got a diploma in Fitness and Nutrition and also taught swimming and creative dance for children. I gave clients ginger compress and barefoot Shiatsu treatments.
When our second daughter came along, I became chronically ill myself. Slowly I recuperated using all natural methods and modalities. After losing my youngest daughter to cancer and going through divorce, I decided to become a Certified Wellness Coach and I have also certifications in Holistic Life-, Stress Management- & Green Living Coaching in order to help my clients get better results. Besides that I’m a Certified Online Coach.
My goal is to help others toward personal, environmental and financial wellness. I am here for you and am dedicated to providing you Excellent Elite Service™.
Having lived in South America, Europe and the United States, I am well aware of the importance of thinking globally and acting locally. Our health and the health of our planet are intricately connected.
Creating Wellness Around The World is my mission as a Wellness Lifestyle Coach. It is the reason behind my commitment to serving my clients through my international business.
I offer coaching, guidance and products for: Wellthy, Eco, Luxury, Lifestyle, Health & Wellness, Fitness & Nutrition, Aging Well, Natural Organic Beauty and Green Living.
I love preparing and eating organic foods, using natural high quality wellness products and getting pampered with massages, chiropractics, acupuncture, facials, manicures & pedicures. I like dancing, Pilates, Yoga, stretching, swimming, horse back riding, nature, hiking, traveling, animals, reading, writing, creative arts such as sewing, knitting, drawing, painting and creating my own WordPress sites and graphics. I enjoy meeting people online and at networking events.
